NEET UG 2026 Result — Overview

NEET UG 2026 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 4, 2026 across exam centres throughout India and abroad. The result is expected in June 2026 on the official website neet.ntaonline.in.

NEET UG is the single national entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS, BVSc, and AH programmes across all government and private medical colleges in India. Over 22 lakh candidates appeared in 2026.

How to Check NEET UG 2026 Result

  1. Visit the official portal: Go to neet.ntaonline.in
  2. Click the result link: Look for "NEET UG 2026 Result / Score Card" on the homepage
  3. Enter credentials: Application Number + Date of Birth + Security Pin
  4. View and download: Your score card showing marks, percentile, and All India Rank (AIR) will appear
  5. Save a copy: Download the PDF — this is required for counselling

Expected Cut-off Marks — NEET UG 2026

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks required to be considered eligible for MBBS/BDS counselling. Based on previous years:

What Happens After NEET UG 2026 Result

For Qualified Candidates

  1. MCC Counselling (MBBS/BDS — All India Quota): Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota seats in government colleges and 100% seats in deemed/central universities and ESIC/AFMC. Register at mcc.nic.in

  2. State Counselling (85% State Quota): Each state conducts its own counselling for 85% of government medical college seats. Check your state's medical admission authority.

  3. Deemed/Private College Counselling: Separate counselling by MCC (deemed universities) and individual states.

NEET UG 2026 — Important Facts

  • Total seats (approx.): 1,09,000+ MBBS seats + 27,000+ BDS seats across India
  • Exam pattern: 200 questions (180 to attempt), 720 marks total
    • Physics: 50 questions (45 attempt)
    • Chemistry: 50 questions (45 attempt)
    • Biology (Botany + Zoology): 100 questions (90 attempt)
  • Marking: +4 for correct, −1 for incorrect
  • Validity: NEET score is valid for one year (for the current admission cycle only)

Re-evaluation / Grievance

NTA does not offer re-evaluation of NEET answer sheets. However:

  • Provisional Answer Key Challenge: Candidates can challenge answer keys before the final result (window typically open for 2–3 days after answer key release). Fee: ₹200 per question
  • Result Grievance: If there are discrepancies in the score card after result, candidates can contact NTA helpdesk at nta.ac.in
