Frequently Asked Questions
Is Chiranjeevi Yojana free for everyone in Rajasthan?
Yes. Since 2021, the Rajasthan government pays the premium for all families. You don't need to pay anything for registration or treatment at empanelled hospitals.
Do I need a separate Chiranjeevi card?
No physical card is issued. Your Jan Aadhaar card itself serves as your identity for availing benefits. You just need to register on the Chiranjeevi portal once.
Can I use Chiranjeevi Yojana outside Rajasthan?
Yes, treatment is available at empanelled hospitals in other states as well. Check the hospital list on the portal for out-of-state options.
What if my Jan Aadhaar doesn't have all family members?
Get your Jan Aadhaar updated first at janaadhaar.rajasthan.gov.in or an e-Mitra centre. Only members listed on Jan Aadhaar are covered.
Is there a waiting period for Chiranjeevi Yojana?
No waiting period for accidents and emergencies. For planned surgeries and treatments, coverage is available from the date of registration.
Can I use both Ayushman Bharat and Chiranjeevi Yojana?
Yes, both schemes can complement each other. Chiranjeevi covers all Rajasthan families regardless of SECC status, while Ayushman Bharat covers families identified under SECC data nationally. At empanelled hospitals, the portability between schemes is managed automatically.
How do I check my Chiranjeevi Yojana registration status?
Log in to chiranjeevi.rajasthan.gov.in using your SSO ID and check your policy status. You can also visit any e-Mitra centre for assistance.
